Art Nouveau Jewelry

Art Nouveau Jewelry was introduced in France between 1890 & 1910.

Art Nouveau Jewelry is decidedly French. Art Nouveau artists took a fresh approach to orchids, dragonflies, ferns, serpents, and the female form, generally in a large, bold design. Enamel played an important part, with gems such as Amber, Agate, Freshwater Pearls, and Opals playing a secondary role. They also experimented with out-of-the-ordinary materials like copper, horn, and shell.
